History - LRB Química
In 1992, LRB Indústria e Comércio de Produtos Químicos Ltda. was created in the city of Estância Velha, RS, by its partners Luis Roberto Bernardes and Rosemeri Petry. With an entrepreneurial view, the company started to produce water-based adhesives for tissue, the first in Brazil to manufacture this type of product.
In 1996, the company increased, requiring new investments and human resources for the production of adhesives. Then, a new phase of business intensification and dedication began. In this period of change, the company associated with Romar A. Petry.
With the increasing progress of LRB Química in the market of adhesives, a new plant was required to meet the demand. Then, new facilities were built in the city section called Bairro Campo Grande, where the company has been so far.
In 2004, a new product line was developed, Hot Melt adhesives, to fulfill the needs of new market niches, such as furniture, footwear and packaging sectors. Constant investments in both water-based adhesives and Hot Melt adhesives allowed a significant trifold increase in the production capacity.
The history of LRB is a success case, as its entrepreneurial view, determination and union are principles that attest the organization’s results and progress.
